Welcome to the sculpture section of our website, where you will discover an extraordinary group of individuals who will be featured as Icons of the Oceans. We are thrilled to introduce Simon Morris, our esteemed sculptor who is renowned worldwide for his ability to bring his bronze sculptures to life through his exceptional artistry. Currently, we have obtained approval for five significant sculptures from the Icons themselves or their families.
The Poseidon Memorial Reef project and the concept of multiple sculptures came to life through a serendipitous meeting between Gary Levine, the president of Reef Builders, and Simon Morris at a diver's convention years ago. Their friendship continued to grow over time, fueled by discussions surrounding the idea of immortalizing Poseidon through a statue for the reef. From these conversations, the vision to honor individuals who have made remarkable strides in ocean sciences, conservation and excellence in ocean sports took shape.
These sculptures will serve as heartfelt tributes to individuals who have made significant contributions to ocean activities, science, and exploration. Furthermore, they symbolize the passion and dedication displayed by celebrated athletes and advocates of various water sports, such as scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming, paddle boarding, surfing, windsurfing, and more.
Soon we will supply more extensive information on these sculptures, including intricate details of their captivating designs. Join us in celebrating the awe-inspiring achievements of these remarkable individuals as we highlight Simon Morris and the five Icons of the Ocean with Biographies and Videos below.
